Our studio is located in the Eagle Valley of central Colorado. Here in our shop we use a combination of old world forging and hammering as well as new techniques we have developed to create one-of-a-kind functional art in the firepit sculptures. The artists are skilled craftsmen whose care and freeform style turn ordinary stock steel into beautiful works of art. There are no templates or plans that are followed in creating your sculpture. Each one is unique and 100% hand-crafted.
Your sculpture is being created by Steelog’s owner; master craftsman, technician, and second generation artist Richard DeLia and a support crew of skilled tradesmen. Together we take each order and mold it to fit the customer’s desires.
In addition to the fire pit sculptures we have teamed up with artist Tim Benidickt to create functional art such as fireplace doors in aspen or pine, grapevine tables and door pulls. We also create decorative art with the pine, aspen leaf, and oak theme
